Recently when I open an image to edit in photoshop the layers don't show. When I open an image, the image is locked as the background layer. But when I unlock it to edit, it turn transparent (the white and grey checker marks show). I add more layers of solid colour and it still shows as transparent.
I checked the little eye icon next to the layer selection, and it makes the difference.
