Legacy New Document interface not working on PS 2025

In Photoshop 2025, the option "Use legacy New document interface" is greyed out, but when I reset preferences it goes back to normal and I can tick the option. Even I select it and press ok, my interface is still old one, and it's bugging sometimes, takes a 10-20 secs to open it. I tried everything, from reseting preferences to downgrading on old versions and I don't know what to do anymore. It's also happening in my Illustrator 2025. Please help, It's really frustrating.

Finally found the solution!

Close all adobe app

Navigate and rename folder "UXP" in "UXP.old" in C:\Program files\Common Files\Adobe\UXP

How do we set Preferences on Mac to open a new document in the New Document Interface that shows thumbnails of my fave image sizes. I tried to use the workaround, but couldn't find anything like that. I'm on a Mac, so I looked for similiar folders to no avail. Ideas? Answers? Empathy? Thanks in advance!!!

Well, I walked away, rebooted system again and yep, it fixed itself. BUT, I still want to know a fix, as this seems to happen to me with every updates, Mercury retrograde or solar flare. Thanks in advance!!!! Y'all are appreciated!

I can understand how frustrating it must be to deal with the legacy New Document interface not working properly in Photoshop 2025, especially when it’s also affecting Illustrator. Let’s try a few steps to see if we can resolve the issue:

1. Close all Adobe apps, including the Creative Cloud desktop app.

2. Navigate to this folder location: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CCX Welcome\

3. Locate the folder named CCX Welcome and rename it to CCX Welcome.old.

4. Relaunch the Creative Cloud desktop app, then reopen Photoshop and Illustrator.

This process may help reset some settings that could be causing the issue. Please let me know if this helps or if you need further assistance!

Still not working, I can't even create new document in illustrator. I can only open recent files and when i try to save it, nothing happens
