Lens Blur Filter Problem - Creates Banding and Washed Out Image

Recently the lens blur filter is unusable for me. It creates a 'screen door' type of banding in the image and also significantly reduced the contrast. 

 

Stats:

  • Latest Photoshop, updated today. 
  • I've tried various settings, but they all produce the same issue.
  • Sony a9 camera files and Fuji XT-2 camera files.
  • Problem affects both PSD and JPEG files.

LATEST

That classically looks like hardware acceleration issues. You may need to check the respective preferences and upodate your graphics driver. Also, does it look the same when using "More Accurate" or disabling hardware stuff entirely?
