Lens Blur is not working anymore

Since yesterday the function does not work at all, I went to Adobe Photoshop 2020 setting- and Lens Blur Prefs.psp and changed the name so PS should make a blank preset again like instructed by support but that does not help

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible? 

What are the image’s Color Mode and bit depth?

I am afraid it might be time for all-purpose trouble-shooting … 

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

Thanks, I tryed the restoring of preferences but it did not help. Lens Blur is stil not working. However I managed to create the same result I wanted  with filter --> Galery --> Field Blur, and had the result I wanted just like I had with  Lens blur before the problem with it. This is only an example

I an other item in this support Community I read that Lens Blur has problems with langde files, so I tried on an old picture and yes there Lens Blure works. many thanks Eureka it works

So it works on a (very) small file, but it worked on my large RAW file, why not any more, is the a setting who limmits the file size, did I changed this by accident ? how?

What are the pixel dimensions an dbut depth of the image where the Filter errors out?

Thanks . It does not explanes why every time, you just not corretly follow the procedure for Lens blur , you have to reset the  "Adobe Photoshop 2021 prefs.psp" and rename it to "Adobe Photoshop 2021 prefs.psp.old". That should be consitered as a bug.

In fact that was the start of this issue but did not know it by that time and I don't know how to put in understandable words as I don't know when / what is my mistake exactly, everi time I try to understand why I and up in missery
