Lighting effects in Photoshop

Up to date MacBook Pro and Photoshop

I am unable to select the Lighting Effects  under Filter - Render - Lighting effects

It is greyed out

Any suggestions

What are the image’s Colour Mode and bit depth?

Is Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor checked?

Colour mode RGB 16 bit

Performance - Graphics Processor is ticked
