Hi

My colleague and I have both recently come across a problem when trying to use lighting effects and also when using the 3D feature in Photoshop. We end up with a silhouette of the object rather than one effected by the lighting. In 3D it will not cast shadows and randomly moves the object off the edge of the screen causing a strange knockout effect on screen. It was working previously on my mac until i opened the PSD my colleague was working on.

We have used these features before so we have a pretty good idea of what we're doing. Both on 4Ghz intel i7 iMac running Mac OSX 10.13.6 with 32GB of ram and a radeon R9 M390 graphics card.

Thanks in advance.

in 3D there should be a shadow cast by the personin 3D there should be a shadow cast by the personin 3D then suddenly he's jumped off the workspace when adjusting the shadowin 3D then suddenly he's jumped off the workspace when adjusting the shadowthis is what appears in lighting effects, no amount of adjustment or switching between presets makes a differencethis is what appears in lighting effects, no amount of adjustment or switching between presets makes a difference
