After editing photos in Lightroom, I try to import into Photoshop but when importing is complete, it opens up a new window for each photo and the photo is not the edited one, they are all the originals. Also, Photoshop doesnt seem to have resize capability. I'm really frustrated with an expensive product that ddoesnt work as advertised. It also froze on me.

you don't say what Lightroom you are using but the basic steps are always the same;

  1. I make a copy of the image [assume Raw] before edits... this is always correct in Lightroom
  2. edit the image in Lightroom first... removed the young lady from the image in this case
  3. send it to Photoshop... how long this step takes is down to how good your system Cpu, ram and network is... the Gpu isn't used yet
  4. make edits in Photoshop and save... this uses your system temp folder so antivirus software set wrong will add Massive time delays to this step
  5. when the save is finished, Lightroom will now show the edit stacked with the copy as a number [2 in this example]

  • if you have a different version of Lightroom i.e, classic then the ui may look a bit different but these steps are always correct as a workflow

edit copy then send to Photoshopedit copy then send to Photoshop
