Liquify BREAKS EVERYTHING

Applying the liquify filter now causes my Photoshop to cease functioning. Once applied, I can switch around tools but I'm no longer able to interact with my project. So its not COMPLETELY frozen but practically dead anyway and I'm forced to control+alt+delete to crash it out.

Hi @Dane28044482p0o0 sorry to hear this.

Try the following:

Go to Preferences/Technology Preview and check "Disable Native Canvas" - Restart Photoshop.
If you hold down the Alt key when you select Filter > Liquify... does it work correctly without crash?

Sorry for the late response, but yes it now works. Thank you for the help, this was driving me crazy 😛

Try the following:

Go to Preferences/Technology Preview and check "Disable Native Canvas" - Restart Photoshop.

Hi @Dane28044482p0o0, are you still having trouble using Liquify? Have you updated to the 24.1.1 Release yet? Was it working in a previous release? Windows 10 or 11? If you have an older system, go to Edit > Preferences > Technology Previews… and enable “Older GPU mode (pre 2016)” and restart Photoshop. Let us know what other troubleshooting steps you've tried, and post your system info here if nothing else is working.
