Liquify filter stops working on iPad and then crashes Photoshop

Question

It will work for a little while, and then the cursor disappears, I can't change the mode, and when I click Cancel to return to the image in Layers mode, there's no image, just the grey background. The only recourse is to quit Photoshop and reopen. All image modifications are lost. This happens A LOT!

I'm on an iPad running 17.7.2 and using Apple Magic Keyboard with Apple Pencil.

Please update to the latest version of Photoshop iPad from the App Store and check if the issue exists. Also, there is an ongoing issue with Photoshop https://adobe.ly/3Therkq
