Live Gradients -Opacity midpoint location broken

Question

After drawing a live gradient (Photoshop 2023) with the Gradient Tool and the Foreground to Transparent gradient, sometimes the Location option for the opacity midpoint (Properties panel > Opacity Controls) becomes unresponsive. Whether I drag the diamond icon under the opacity preview bar or I adjust the location value with the scrubby slider, nothing happens.

This occurs both in Windows and Mac.

Just to add, it's actually not just the opacity midpoint control that becomes unresponsive. It's all of the opacity controls for the live gradient.

Once they become unresponsive, the only way I am able to fix the problem is to close and reopen Photoshop. But the issue eventually happens again. I'm surprised no one else is mentioning this because it happens on both my Windows PC and my Mac.
