Hi,
Just updated to Ps CC 2018, and in Camera Raw if you use brush tool, there used to be a white tab/circle indicating the brushed area and you can click it to choose the brushed area and re-adjust exposure, color temp, saturation ,etc for the brushed area. Now it seems that this round/circle handle is missing, and I can't go into the brushed areas to refine and re-adjust things.
Wondering if there is a set-up that makes the brushed area shown and clickable?
Many thanks,
Alex

Hi
Try this:
At the bottom of the brush adjustments check "Overlay". To see the brushed area - check "Mask"

Thanks Dave, but it's not working. Nothing showed up after I ticked both overlay and mask. In previous versions of Ps this worked, but the current versoin doesn't.

thanx. this worked for me as well.
question - is this a photoshop/adobe problem which they need to fix, or should we all look into updating our graphics processors?

The issue is the GPUs are being constantly updated and Photoshop also gets regular updates. Sometimes issues creep in between them. You will probably not see much of a performance difference (if any) with GPU unchecked in camera raw, unlike Photoshop where you lose functionality. So my view is, unless you are seeing issues elsewhere in Photoshop - just leave it unchecked.

what do you lose in photoshop with the graphics processor unchecked?

With the Camera raw preference to use GPU unchecked (in Preferences > Camera Raw) you lose nothing in Photoshop.
However if you uncheck use GPU for Photoshop itself (in Preferences >Performance) , then you lose various Filters such as Oil Paint , use of 3D, parts of Liquify, etc

Like I said though, unchecking it for camera raw only doesn't take any of that away.

Apart from what Dave listed, I do notice a much slower preview rendering when applying the local adjustment brush. It used to be rendering out the preview instantly, and now there's a hiccup... My computer setup: i6700k, 32G Ram, OS x System on SSD, and Ps Work source files on separate SSD.

For Windows users I would suggest trying an alternative driver (newer or older) from the GPU manufacturer.
I am not a Mac user but I believe that changing drivers is not as simple on a Mac.

Thanks Dave.
I should have suspected the GPU issue a lot sooner, previous version mostly worked fine, hope new updates will solve this problem.

i am having the same problem. clicking on the mask as well as overlay does not bring up the various areas that have been worked on. this must be a glitch, unless there is some work around i am unaware of.

ok, i found something. if you go the the three lines on the top right next to "adjustment brush" there are controls that let you revisit corrections and delete them. this is not user friendly at all, but it does work.

It only gives you the options to delete previously saved presets, or save a new brush adjustment preset. Or am I missing something?
Thanks,
Alex

Ok, problem solved by disabling the Graphics Processor in "Camera Raw Preferences" setting.
Looks like the new version of Ps is not working well with my GPU, which is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX970.
I'm working on a Mac OS X 10.11.6
