locating the guide

Hi,

On Ai, I can locate the guide correctly with Transform window.

Is there any way to do the same on Ps?

Illustrator has better controls for guides than Photoshop. Also guides can be converted to paths and vice versa.

In Photoshop:

To put in one guide, I like to go to View menu > New Guide > type the number for H or V
IMPORTANT: be sure to change the units of measurement. Pixels and Percent are not the same.
Try View > New Guides Layout to add guides for "margins" and "columns"
Try View > New Guides from Shape to add guides around a shape.

What's the difference between Clear Guides and Clear Canvas Guides?

I tried to see the difference. There is none.
