I have an version of CS2 which I purchased many moons ago.  I have installed it on a new computer, bnut 

i am unable to activate it.  Any help?

CS2 is officially dead.  It's time to budget for new software.

How can Adobe "cancel" software that we bought? Can anyone point to terms of service that limits the time one can use the CS2 software?

All you bought was a limited, non-exclusive license to use the software at Adobe's discretion.  Below is the CS2 EULA, English begins on page 265.

Adobe owns the software which means they decide when to end access to EOL products.   Even if you could get it, CS2 won't install much less run on most machines anymore.  It's far too outdated.
