I have several files that use the same Channel Mixer adjustment layer presets.
If I make a change to one of the presets in another file, save over the new preset, and load the original Photoshop file again, the numerical settings are preserved, the link to the custom preset file is not preserved. Rather, the "preset" dropdown shows as "[Preset Name] (modified)".
What I would like to have is a fully automated workflow that will allow me to make a change to a preset in a Channel Mixer adjustment layer, and automatically propagate that change to all of my files using that preset. I can do it manually, but there are hundreds of files and 10-20 channel mixer presets I'll be using on each of them so a manual update is a very poor solution. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Some screenshots to illustrate what I'm talking about, and what I'm looking for.

Step 1: Photoshop file with a channel mixer adjustment layer that uses a channel mixer preset file named "player-paint-2"

Step 2: channel mixer preset file changed while working on a different Photoshop file

Step 3: re-open original Photoshop file. The original numerical values are preserved, there seems to be some memory of what preset file was previously referenced as the name of the preset file is still present, but with "(modified)" listed after it

What I would LIKE to make happen: automatically update all adjustment layers. To get this screen shot for this example, I did it manually, but manual changes are not a tenable solution for my project.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
