Losing Pen Tilt

New Here ,
Aug 10, 2023 Aug 10, 2023

sometimes when I switch back to Photoshop after browsing or whatever I find the pen tilt sensitivity is not working anymore. the pressure and everything else is fine but the tilt is gone.

this happens randomly so its hard to reproduce consistently, it does happen often though and I use tilt on pretty much every brush I use so its an issue. a trick I found to make it come back is to switch to another program that uses the tilt like Krita, and then switching back to photoshop it works again, otherwise I'm forced to restart photoshop.

I'm on 24.7.0 in windows but this has happened regularly on previous versions and with multiple tablets.

Hi @mark31593650g5om

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Restore your preferences using this manual method:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

Does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
