Hi!
I'm looking for some help with figuring out an issue with a Legacy brush in Photoshop. Shape dynamics are all set to default, and smoothing is on. I'm on Windows 11 and the most recent version of PS available.
I'm using the "Hard Round Pressure Size" brush using a Wacom Intuos Pro tablet. I have the Smoothing function set to "Stroke Catch Up/Adjust for Zoom", and at 100%.
I just got a new laptop, and when I go to use this brush (as I often start out with it for sketching) and I can't seem to get the same amount of brush control, even with the smoothing feature turned on and I'm not sure why. I turned on my old laptop and checked all of my photoshop settings and the singular brush settings and everything is the same. It used to go much slower, and give a better correction to my lines (I have shaky hands and this is a function I rely on for smoother lines). It used to almost look like it was pulling it like a string (which I thought might have been the "string" function in the Smoothing options, but it doesn't make the difference when I switch to that). On the new computer, it's still picking up on some of my hand tremors and not auto-adjusting like it used to. It's also leaving trails at the end of my strokes where it normally would taper off like a brush pen. (the diameter is going from maybe 10pt -3pt abruptly and not in a more soft taper like it used to.
Any idea what I can check or adjust to make this better?
