Luminosity Mask Question

I know how to make Luminosity Masks for Lights1, Lights2, darks1, Darks2 etc...

 

What I am trying to figure out is how to make a selection of the image say with the Lasso Tool and then find out which Luminosity mask suits that selection by selecting each one in turn.

You could use the Eydropper tool, and set the second readout in the Info panel to Grayscale with a large sample size, like 31x31.
