M1 Max Problems

Hello everyone
I came across your article by chance.
I work with very large files 40GB in PS with 100 levels of ec .. My M1 comes to a standstill at the end of my projects,
Now yesterday I was able to test the M1 Max for me 32 GB 32 core GPU, what can I say. already very disappointed. Even the new one doesn't run smoothly in my work. Whereby the utilization of the council was 19 GB. So my question, what is that about? And will the 64GB variant bring me more, probably not, right? does anyone know the problem? I am grateful for any help.
