(macOS) Photoshop "Save as" option no longer appears when I try to save a file as a PDF

Hi there,

I no longer seem to be able to use the 'save as' option when I try to save my files to PDF on photoshop on my macbook air.

Usually when i click to save a file an option pops up asking if i'd like to save the file on my computer or on the cloud. I always save on my computer so on the last occasion where it says, never ask me this again. I clicked on that as I thought it was just referring to if i'd like it saved on my comupter or the cloud. But now to my horror I seem to be unable to save my files as a PDF. When I click on 'save as' nothing pops up giving me the option to save as a PDF. I would really appreciate any help with this and how i can fix it. Thank you in advance!

You can reset the warning dialogs in File > Preferences > General.

Hi Rebecca,

Thanks for reaching out. We're sorry for the trouble with Photoshop. We're here to help.

Could you please share the specific version of macOS & Photoshop you are working on? Has this only started since you selected the 'Don't ask again' dialog? Are you using a multi-monitor setup? Do you notice the 'Save As' dialogue appears in the background of Photoshop?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

You can set the default location for your future documents to be saved locally.

Please go to Photoshop > Preferences > File Handling > Set 'Default File Location' > On Your Computer.

Try to use 'Save as Copy' instead of 'Save As.' Please check this community post for help with getting started with the 'Save as Copy' workflow in Photoshop: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/quick-tips-learn-how-to-save-all-file-formats-from-photoshop-s-save-as-dialog/m-p/12933468#M646561

Let us know how it goes from here,

Thanks!

Hi Im using Photshop 2022. My Mac is macOS Monterey version 12.1.

"Save as copy" doesn't work either....

It must have been since I selected the "don't ask again" dialogue as I had just saved a file 2 minutes before and it did the usual pop up save as PDF option. Now nothing pops up when I press save as or save as copy?

Ive gone into prefernces and it doesn't seem to give me the option to save on my computer. It won't give me any option to save my file to PDF.

Thanks in advance.
