Question

Magic wand tool not there in spite of all previous advice

In spite of all the obvious advice on holding down the quick selection tool, and resetting the tools, my dear old W-tool does not appear. What have I not tried yet?

Thanks

Sven

The Magic Wand may be hidden. You can use the ellipses at the bottom of the toolbar, then reset your tools, but try this first:

Click the Search button (magnifying glass) in the upper right > type Magic Wand > confirm you are on the second tab for PS, and it will highlight the tool wherever it happens to be right now.

That 'restore defaults' hint did the trick! So simple it feels kinda embarrassing. 🙂 Thanks a mill. Did my day (and eased my work)

Did you try Shift+W? Did you look in Edit > Toolbar?

Hi

What version of Photoshop do you have, have you checked your Toolbar settings

Also check what workspace you're using

If it's not that try resetting your Photoshop preferences
