It appears to me that when I move photos from Google Photos to Photoshop the image size (#pixels for width and height) decrease signifantly. I need the higher resolution to reproduce art work adequately.

Hi @Eve and Gary Wallinga were you able to find the settings?

@Eve and Gary Wallinga

Since your question is about Photoshop, I have moved this from Photoshop Fix — a mobile app which reached end of support two years ago — where you posted.

When I move a photo from Google Photos to Adobe Photoshop the size (# of pixels for width and height) decrease. Am I losing resolution then? Is there a way to stop this from happening. I need higher resolution to make adequate reproductions of my art.

Hi @Eve and Gary Wallinga yes - I would assume the issue is Google Photos is compressing your image for storage. I would check the settings there.
