Warning: Mega Noob. Please be kind.
I have a screenshot from an animated show on Netflix. I removed the background from the screenshot with some difficulty. I now have a background less animated screenshot of 2 characters. What I want to do now, is make the picture look like it was painted. Can this be achieved with a filter/an effect? If so, how?

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. As far as I understand you want to take the screenshot from the animated show (Background removed) as your subject to the other screenshot of 2 characters as your background and both should be merged into one and have an edit which will depict that this is painted. Correct me if I understand it wrong.
If that's what you are trying to do, place the object on top of the background layer and check this LINK for converting this to the painting look that you wanted to have.
Let us know if that helps.
Regards,
Ranjisha

You are almost correct. The picture with 2 characters is what has the background removed. I want to make this look painted, while using something entirely different and irrelevant as the background. I have attached 2 attachments. The 1st one is what I am working with and trying to edit. The 2nd one is the original screenshot. I want the 1st one (edit.png) to look painted. I hope this helps you helps me.
Thanks.
