Making a GIF with a transparent background

Hi all.  I'm pretty new to Photoshop, but I wanted to try to make a transparent GIF by removing the background and adding kind of a pink glow around the character.  But when I try to export it to web and look at it on a black background, there's this thick white border that comes around the pink glow.  Any ideas on how to get rid of it? I attached the gif to this post.

Here is your gif perhaps the black background you see is added by the image viewer you are using or it displaying your Gif over a black background. In which case you should see your white boarder around your pink glow.
