Manage Adjustment Panels Question

So its been a couple years since I had used Photoshop for editing and color correcting photos, so Im having trouble witht he adjustment panels I have edited for the photo resetting back to default when i click the adjustment panel again (ie. Exposure, Levels etc.). Im starting from a new Windows install vs my work's Apple Computers. Am I missing some setting that would preserv the panels so i can go back anad adjust from where I left off?

Thank you.

I personally don't usually have the Adjustment Panel visible in my workspace (to save space), I just use the option to add new fill/adjustment layers from the Layers Panel.

One can save even more space if one wishes to do away with the Properties panel and use old-style modal dialogs:

Maybe that's why I'm having harder time finding things. I'll look at those extensions, thank you.

I'm not sure I fully understand your issue. If you have already added an adjustment layer, don't click back on the Adjustments panel to edit it. Select the adjustment layer (not the mask) in the Layers panel and make any adjustments in the Properties panel.

Yes I think that's it, as I was clicking back on the adjustments. Thank you I'll look under properties. I had allot more screen space at my old work computer maybe that's why it's harder to find things on my current 1080p tv lol
