Manipulating Light Spot

I have this image with pink light on its own background layer.  I need to know how to manipulate the light spot to make it bigger/smaller and the intensity more/less without starting from scratch making all new layers.

Unlock the background layer if it is locked and then you can scale it up or down to change the size. Or you could blur it to make it more feathered. Post a screen capture of the layers and tell us exactly what you want to accomplish.

Be aware that, if this image is destined for print media (publications, brochures, etc.), the pink is outside the CMYK ink gamut. Consider a different color, or a fifth color on press. See the Info Panel for a rough guide:

The exclamation points alongside the CMYK values is the out-of-gamut warning.

Cmd+Y will display a compromise color within the CMYK. gamut.

Cmd+Y will display a compromise color within the CMYK. gamut.

And View > Gamut Warning (cmd-shift-Y) should »highlight« the regions in the image that are out of gamut for the Proof Space.

Could you please post a screenshot with the pertinent Panels (Layers, Channels, Options Bar, …) visible?

Converting the spot Layer to a Smart Object (if it is not yet)), transforming and filtering that and adding Adjustment Layers may suffice depending on the actual needs.

    Hi

Convert the layer to a smart object and use a Lighting Effect from the Filter Menu and play around with the intensity slider
