May 24th Update - Massive lag and application hangs while using artboards

After the update this morning I am seeing severe performance issues on artboards. My files contain 8 artboards with a lot of linked external images.  Saving causes photoshop to 'freeze' for 1 - 2 minutes (no save progress bar, can see the spinning photoshop dot cursor), though it does recover after this time and does not crash completely. Occasionally also see same freezes when working on the artboard, ie moving a linked image, text box, etc.

Reverting back to the previous version (25.7) fixes the issue (save takes a second, no freezing) but I prefer to stay updated. Obviously frequent 1-2 minute application freeze is not acceptable.

Three months and four updates later, and they still haven't done anything about it, not even in the beta release. This is pathetic... Every version of Photoshop above 25.7 is now useless for anyone creating ad sets for Google/Meta campaigns. How long do we have to wait for them to fix this?

Yes, agree. Only I can do is to use the older version. That is frustrating somehow. Please fix!
