Merge to HDR Pro not working Photoshop CC 2018

After selecting files in Bridge and merged them to HDR Pro in Photoshop, I could see the multiple layers opening. But then, all the files are gone. Just like nothing had happened.

It was the same if I use the

Choose File > Automate > Merge To HDR Pro.

I re-installed the Photoshop CC, the problem is still there. Anyone knows what happened?

I am experiencing the same problem. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop, and it still doesn't work. I have a mac, so I don't use regedit. How could I make this function work on mac?

Did you ever get the issue resolved for MAC? Here we are in October 2024 and I did some images at the beginning of the month and they worked fine. The latest update for PS, Bridge and Camera Raw were installed last night. I tried to Merge 3 images to HDR Pro from Bridge. Photoshop opened with the layers for the 3 files and then closed without warning. I tried several times. There isn't a bug fix this morning unfortunately.
