Bonjour,

Merci

Since the last Photoshop update, I get a message when I open "this facial expression file is incorrect or damaged".

Instead of resetting Photoshop preferences, try this solution for the "This Face Expression File is bad or corrupted" message box:

  • Quit Photoshop
  • Go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe in Windows File Explorer and search for "Face".
  • When you find a file called "FaceExpressionPresets.psp", rename it with .old at the end (to preserve it just in case).
  • Restart Photoshop. The file will recreate itself.
If there is still an issue, the older file is still there and can be renamed again.

Hello,
ALT + SHIFT + CTRL does not work for me.
I think there's a small problem with the latest version of CC 2024.
I've put back an earlier version of CC 24.7.2.
Having taken care to save my preferences for my .tbr brush shortcuts.
I no longer have this panel that appears when I open CC.
So all's well.
Have a nice day 🙂
Thierry.

Ctrl+Alt+Shift immediately after launching Photoshop does not work for a lot of people because of the timing. You have 1/10 of a second between launching Photoshop and holding down the three keys. There are easier and better ways now. It's best to back up preferences first, then remove the preferences file manually so the file can be restored if needed:

In this case, however, deleting Photoshop preferences is unnecessary. It's the FaceExpressionPresets.psp file that is causing the issue. (See earlier post.)

Bonjour

It warns you to save any unsaved preset like Brush, Gradient etc... and Photoshop actions if you have recorded any without saving it on hard drive.
