I've use Thunderbird to read the forum via the nntp gateway since Oct 2004 and
have pretty much everything since since December of that year as far as I can tell.
However, I'm missing a block from 22-SEP-2007 to 14-OCT-2007 and would be in
someone's debt if they could send me a copy.

Those would be the days of the "Lost" archives when Adobe tried to change to a new forum style and was forced by a user revolt to return to the old style. In the list on a regular web access is a folder called "PhotoshopThe Missing Archives". This probably contains the stuff you are missing.
