Good afternoon,

I am buying a new Mac Studio to replace my 5 year old 27" iMac.

I currently have all of my LIghtroom & Photoshop folders stored on an external drive.

Once I get the new computer and install Lightroom and Photoshop, can I just open the library on the external drive, or is there something special I need to do in order to properly transfer everything to the new computer?

Thank you!

You can "just open the library on the external drive" but Lightroom will need you to copy many Preference, Presets, etc, to the new system. Have a read of this blog from Victoria Bampton-

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 14.0, Photoshop 26.0, ACR 17.0, Lightroom 8.0, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 15.0.0, Windows-11.
