Missing audio file in GIF

New Here ,
Dec 30, 2021 Dec 30, 2021

I have saved an animation I created as a gif file - via the 'save for web' tool. It has saved correctly, only it's missing all the audio files I added.

Does anyone know how to save a gif and still keep my audio files. Note, it cannot be saved as an MP3 because I need to eventually add the gif onto a pdf.

Thanks!

GIF89a doesn't support audio.

MP3 is an audio only format.

PDF can contain video data:

GIF doesn't support sound. You can't have a gif with sound in it.

The only option you have, when exporting from Photoshop, to keep sound with your animation, is to export as video.

If you want audio, you'll have to export as a movie (which can be embedded into a PDF). But keep in mind that not all devices will be able to play a video in a PDF file.
