Not sure if this is a photoshop issue or Illustrator issue or a me issue.

Working on a plaid pattern I'm buzzing along with no issues, then suddenly I am not getting complete image copying from Illustrator into photoshop; parts of the image are missing (see attached images).

I did several versions of this and the older versions are fine.  They were all created the same way: create the pattern square in AI (no blends or filters), create a pattern swatch by rasterizing the repeat square then bounding box behind it, Object > pattern> make or drag into swatches.

In AI create a round shape and fill with pattern, copy and paste into PS.  I have done this a million times with not problems then suddenly this.

I have tried paste as pixels, paste as smart object, checked prefences and image settings/adjustments to see if they match the patterns that still work, restart, update....nothing works.

I feel like it is going to be some embarassingly small thing i am overlooking. thanks in advance.

I am on mac OS, latesst version of both PS and &AI.

Hi @regina,

Thanks for reaching out! It sounds like you’re facing a strange issue with copying and pasting from Illustrator to Photoshop. To help us investigate further, could you please share the Illustrator file that’s causing the issue? This will allow us to check it on our end and see if there’s anything we can suggest.

In the meantime, I recommend trying a couple of things:

Rasterize the pattern before copying it to ensure that all elements are rendered correctly.

•You might also try exporting the artwork using File > Export as a PSD from Illustrator and then importing that into Photoshop to see if the issue persists.

Let us know how it goes, and we’ll be happy to provide further suggestions!

Best,

Anshul Saini
