missing something? batch export? what?

so I was exporting images with the "export as" feature and realized there was a "hopper" or side bar that currently had a thumbnail of the image i was exporting and it looks as if i could have the hopper full of the rest of the images i was exporting all under the same perameters. so i googled batc hexporting, and all the videos show some way of doing it with scripts, but the GUI of the script export is very confusing and advanced looking and does not have GIF as a possible export, and you cant change the iages dimesions in this script stlye export. Am I tripping? does it not look like I should be able to load more images inot this export window? is it not stupid that you loose features when you batch export? maybe im doing it totally wrong but I dont think so lol.

@stussycan

The feature is for multiple layers/groups/artboards in a single document, not multiple documents.

ahhhh ok! , Thanks! that seems like a massive oversite to not either combine this feature, or make a similar feature for batch exporting and throw that script nonsense in the trash. like why would it be required to loose export features while batch exporting? but if you want to jsut export one thing then you get features? how would you export a bunch of open images all with the same pixel width? which is what i wanted to do but had to do one at a time.

haha i meant PS is 34 years old and been exporting jpg's since day one. So ... theyve had time to improve it.

You use "export" in a generic sense.

When it comes to File > Export:

Export As or Quick Export

or

Save for Web (Legacy)

These are specific features with the sole intention of creating optimised files for web/device viewing. They were not there since the beginning.

They are not general features for output to file, which is what Save a Copy or Save As/Legacy Save As are for.

But anyway, I too would like to see more work done when it comes to saving, exporting and batching.
