Missing tool options in tool bar

I am following a tutorial in Ps (title in Adobe says "Photoshop ecosystem" I do not know whether both are same or not) and I want to make a custom worksapce. I found some tools in tutorial are missing in my tool bar. How to bring it?

Correct answer Conrad_C

Why title says "Photoshop ecosystem"?

Ai - Adobe Illustrator

Ae - After Effect

Pr - Premiere Pro

“Photoshop ecosystem” means this section can answer questions about any of the Photoshop apps in the system connected by Photoshop cloud documents, including Photoshop for macOS, Windows, iPad OS, and the beta Photoshop web browser app.

It can be a little confusing because most people think of “ecosystem” as a term used for a biological environment, but it is less well known that the tech industry uses “ecosystem” to mean “we want customers to know these products work together.”

Has anyone found a solution for this on a 768 screen, please? Without it the program is almost unusable.

You said “this” and “it” but it isn’t clear which problem you’re having. The discussion and solution in this thread apply to any size screen, because the answer is that the options displayed in the options bar are tied to the tool selected in the Tools panel, so if you want to see different options, select a different tool. The answer is the same on a screen that’s 786 pixels tall (if that’s what you mean buy a “768 screen”).

If your screen is only 768 pixels tall, then the main problem is your screen falls below the stated minimum system requirements for Photoshop which are 800 pixels tall. If that means the options bar is too narrow to show all the settings, you can try turning on “Enable Narrow Options Bar” in Photoshop Preferences, Workspace panel. But ultimately, you need a taller screen, or if possible set a higher resolution setting for your screen.

If these suggestions aren’t helping, you probably want to start a new thread and talk specifically about what is not working right on your screen.

Thank you. I think I thought I was on a thread regarding the lost colour tool on the screen of 768 height. It has always been visible in earlier versions of Elements so why can we not see it, or have it somewhere else? I am not impressed favourably, and unlikely to continue with Photoshop when something Like Affinity has no such problems. This has been an issue for 2 years and in that time one feels that Adobe could have provdied a workround or solution.

Hi @MahaB82A, the tool options shown on the top horizontal menu will change based on your tool selection on the far left vertical bar. In the first screenshot, you have the Move tool selected. In the second screenshot, you have the Marquee tool selected. Hope that's helpful!
