Mixoos Color Mixer plug-in

I downloaded this plug-in. It looks handy for people interested in a more painterly experience with Photoshop. After downloading and installing, I restarted Photoshop to try it out. Instead of opening, I got two alerts. One said the plug-in had been remotely deactivated and I needed to reenter the key. The other said that the plug-in would not work while Photoshop was in debug mode. I have never heard of a debug mode. I emailed the Mixoos team, and they said I had to go to Terminal and enter a code, which they provided. My question is, has anyone else heard of this? And is entering the code a good idea. I know nothing about working with Terminal, and am really reluctant to enter codes that I’m not familiar with, to correct a problem that I've never heard of. I could use some advice.

    This is what I got:

In order to disable debug mode simply open Terminal app and paste code below and press enter, depends of your photoshop use one of the codes provided below:

    write com.adobe.CSXS.8 PlayerDebugMode 0 (CC2018)

    write com.adobe.CSXS.7 PlayerDebugMode 0 (CC2017)

    write com.adobe.CSXS.6 PlayerDebugMode 0 (CC2012015.5)

    write com.adobe.CSXS.5 PlayerDebugMode 0 (CC2015)

    write com.adobe.CSXS.4 PlayerDebugMode 0 (CC2014)

The proper Terminal command provided you are running CC 2017 is:

    defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.7 PlayerDebugMode 0

Copy/paste that line in the Terminal Window and press Enter.

Copy and paste their Terminal instructions in your reply. You can use xxx in place of your confidential code.

I use Terminal sometimes and I can give it a look.

The directions were to write: com.adobe.CSXS.8 PlayerDebugMode 0

Is there such a thing as a debug mode?

Then restart Photoshop and see if your extension works.
