Question

More brushes show under tip shapes than presets?

PS user since PS4/1998! It's 2023 but still have to use CS3. YES, I KNOWWW- haha! Go ahead & laugh! I've been saving 14 years for new PC/hardware optimized to support current CC versions but just as I get close to financial goals, inflation drives prices out of my reach! (I'm disabled, unemployable & live below poverty level so that's why it's taking forever!I'm debt-free & don't use credit). QUESTION: In brushes panel, under "brush tip shapes"section, my CS3 shows extra brushes which do NOT display under "brush presets" or via Preset Manager.

Is that normal??!!! Has this happened to anyone else? Seems weird to me. I would think only brushes saved to an actual abr file would display, whether in brush tip shapes OR presets.

Tried resetting Preferences as well as resetting to default brushes and even other brush collections/abr files, yet no matter what I choose, those same extra brushes still display under brush tip shapes but not presets. I researched via Google and Adobe Community but nothing at all comes up about this specific issue (bug?). Any recognization, thoughts, ideas, solutions? Thank you in advance, my fellow Adobe-users!

Yes that's normal. Some of the Tips are for brushes that use Dual Brushes while others are there depending if you have any Brush Tool Presets loaded, so that's why there are many times more brush tips than actual brush presets. Also if you append brush sets/brush tool presets when loading you end up with still more brush tips.
