You have posted the same idea multiple times; I have merged them into a single concept.

Hah!  I wondered what the heck was going on with all those posts Bojan. 🙂

recent brushes are there to help go back to the brush that was just used. However, in recent brushes, you put down as a recent brush, the same brush in every size that was used, and that makes it that you often only have one brush in many sizes in recent. It's easy to adjust the size, but not so easy to locate the different brushes. I think that recent brushes should only have the type of brush used, and not all the different sizes.

I think it is necessary to have an easier way of saving brushes as favorites. I've seen in other apps, that when choosing a brush, you can right click on that brush, and in the drop down menu, there is a choice to save it to favorites. I'm using adobe photoshop for 15 years, and always felt that this is needed.

I'd add a vote to an improvement in recent brushes.  Even having more than the default seven in the Recent list would be welcome.

I'd say we are covered there.  It is super easy to create a new brush group and drag presets to it.  With sets like Kyle's Mega Pack, which has something like 700 presets, it can be hard finding the preset you need.

It is essential having the search bar enabled in the right click menu, and you can hack this feature by renaming brushes.  Note that if you rename a preset, and delete the group and reload it again, it will have reverted to its original name.  So best practice is to save favourites to a new group, and export that group to create a new .abr file.

There are a couple of third party panels that you might find make preset management easier.  Brushbox is the best IMO, but FWIIW I have a license for it and don't use it.

Best advice I can give is to have all of the options turned on, and remember that when a preset shows it is for a different tool, and you still want to use it, hold down Ctrl/Cmd when selecting it and it will retain the current tool.

Thank you! I never had the brush tip checked. With the brush tip checked, it's so much easier to recognize the brush.
