Moving an object pixelwise in Photoshop for iPad

Community Beginner ,

Hi everyone. I have done some light trail photography and I am stacking the photos together on my iPad.

I wish there is an Auto-alignment function in Photoshop for iPad but unluckily there isnt.

So I need to drag different layers of images to align them manually.
And then I found another problem. I couldn't drag the images pixelwise. Even the smallest move is about a 10-pixel increment. I cant really align the images precisely.
Does anyone have a soloution for this?

Instead of dragging (Move tool), try using your arrow keys to nudge one pixel at a time or include the Shift key to move ten pixels at a time. Will that work for you?

Thank you for the suggestion. But I don't have a keyboard for my iPad. Does this mean I can't nudge the image?

Hi @cySSSS ,

I disabled by Magic keypad and cannot find away to move images by one pixel. Possibly another volunteer will have a better solution.

I take it you don't have access to Photoshop on a PC?

I found another thread that might help if you can pair a keyboard to your iPad.

Please let us know how you get on.

Thanks for your help. I do not own a keyboard for my iPad but i tried to contol my iPad with my macbook. And yes, using the keyboard does allow me to nudge the objects. but then i‘d rather use the desktop version of photoshop.

I agree that Photoshop for iPad should be functional without a keyboard for those who choose not to get one.

I’m not sure if this will help with your problem or not. I’m using an iPhone and was also frustrated with Photoshop Mobile. While looking for a solution, I found your question but saw no answer. Then I tried again and looked for the Move Tool — the closest thing I found was the Transform Tool. Surprisingly, in Transform mode, you can drag your object pixel by pixel. I didn’t try any subtools, just the default one: Freeform.
