Moving people in image with content aware

Hi there,
I'm im the middle of editing/cropping an old staff member out of photos and I think I've pretty much got it.
But as soon as I get the crop selection and move into place and release it, part of the red haired woman's body disappears.
I'm using the move with content aware. It looks great until I hit enter then that's when parts of her body disappear. (Her arm, part of dress and part of boot)

Is there a way to make the move without it making part of the persons body disappear in the image?

I have attached images of what I'm talking about.

That's ok! Select the crop tool and move the handles outward to make more space while you work. Then when you're done, you can crop it back down to size. I think the red-haired girl's body is still there, but it 's just outside the canvas size. Just don't crop it to its current size unless her whole body appears.

1: Select the crop tool and make sure the background color is white (red arrow). That might just be my personal preference. You're going to crop it anyway.

Why not enlarge the canvas width to compensate?

Thank you for your advice.

I'm very, very new to this so I'm not aware of what that means, but you've given me a direction.

I've just been watching YouTube tutorials to figure things out as I go.

2: Grab the handles and move the width over to make room. You can crop off any excess when you're done.
