Multi-layer selection has gone nuts - help!

Hi, since the recent updates I'm really struggling with multi-layer selection. I like that now when you click anywhere photoshop recognises the layer the item you've clicked is on and jumps to it. However when there are multiple layers in the same spot, and I either select them via shift+ the relevant layers in the layers, or via right-click (PC based) - once I try to move it automatically selects the whole folder of layers, and I can't get it to just select the relevant layers within the folder that I want to work on. Driving me crazy... suggestions gratefully received.

What are the Move Tool’s settings (see Options Bar)?

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

What are the Move Tool’s settings (see Options Bar)?

Thank you for replying. I've figured it out. You need to hold the crtl key now, to be able to move the selected folder of layers or a specific layer within a folder.

I'm also trying to figure out the new controls for the transform tool. You don't need to hold shift anymore to constrain proportions, it automatically constrains - and you hold ctrl to scale unconstrained - but what key do you hold to maintain a straight angle when scaling unconstrained? Any suggestions please?
