multiple versions of programs

Hi,

I've been using CC for three years, so I have (for example) Photoshop 2018, 2019 and now 2020 on my laptop. I always click "Update" but the new versions seem to appear automatically. So I guess there is a setting somewhere. It's been slowing down a little, so is there any way to remove 2018 other than in the windows 10 uninstall app? Also, if I ever discontinue CC, or change from the suite to only Photoshop, will I be able to keep and use the older versions of Illustrator or Premiere?

What if you have an old CS5 and the brand new CC 2020 both on your computer (Windows 10). Will this cause issues? I have tried to uninstall the old CS5 but my computer will not get rid of it!

Photoshop CS5 and Photoshop 2020 are far enough apart in years that they probably won't interfere with each other if they're both on the same computer. But that same age difference (almost 10 years) means that the old CS5 installer/uninstaller was designed for what Windows was like 10 years ago, so where it looks for files to uninstall might not line up with the way Windows 10 files are organized today. I'm more of a Mac user, so a Windows user might be able to provide more accurate information on what it takes to uninstall Photoshop CS5 from Windows 10.

And if the old version being discussed is CS5, that definitely won't show up in the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Yes, you can uninstall without using Windows 10 Add or Remove Programs. You can also use the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App to both uninstall and install older versions. In the picture below, I have two versions of Photoshop. By clicking the ellipsis (…) menu for one version, the Uninstall option allows uninstallation of that version, and the Other Versions option allows installing an older version.

Unfortunately not. Without a current subscription to an application, the application will work only in trial mode, and will stop working when the trial period is over. The only exceptions to this that I know about are Lightroom Classic, which continues to work with some functions disabled (such as the Develop module), and Adobe Bridge, which apparently can be used without a subscription.

If you uninstall cc 2018 you will not be able to reinstall it if you would want to. Adobe installer will only install the latest two versions . CC 2019 and 2020 it will not install 2018.

I do not use Adobe Windows Photoshop and Bridges uninstaller to remove old Photoshop Version for they normally mess up my Windows registry by restoring file association to even older version or photoshop instead of leaving settings they did not make be. You cans normally fix that by uninstalling the current photoshop version and then reinstall it. I just delete Photoshop and Bridge version installation trees. I leave Adobe common file install be.

Lately I have not delete versions for you can not reinstall them if you need them. Adobe is having some problems so there installer will only allow you install the latest two version of Photoshop. I did delete some CC. CC 2015, CC 2015.5 and CC 2017.

You should not see a slowdown with them installed. Unless you are running out of free space on your system disk. I have these 6 version installed
