My cc photoshop taskbar tile isn't opening. How do I get it to open?

I get a notice offering me a 7 day adobe trial when I try to open photoshop in the usual way on my windows laptop. My account is active, I am signed in and it is functioning fine on another computer but this one doesn't seem to know me any more. How do I get the tile to function properly again?

Hi @lindan331200 if you are actively using the newer versions then yes, you can uninstall the 2018 version without issue. Uninstall using the exe in the 2018 folder.

Re: Recent files, if the file location has changed since you last opened it- PS cant find it and will remove it from the recent files display. Search for your missing file and open again.

This shouldn't be the case as I have been using it on the same subscription for 5+ years, and it's not done this before. The fix seemed to be to go to my CC desktop app and open Ps from there. I think the old pinned 'tile' (2018) was not connecting to my live account, but now I have some new questions - should I uninstall the 2018 'tile' as I now have bith the 2022 and 23 tiles - will it uninstall the whole thing? Do the tiles 'contain' the app or are they just portals to it (can I uninstall the 2018 version without having to do anything else?), and now that I am in my photoshop - when clicking on a 'recent' file, the file disappears and doesn't open.
