My Colour Picker is not working

I am currently trying to paint, and I want to use the colour dropper (shortcut ALT) but it isn't transferring to the colour wheel or the Sliders, it is only transferring to the little squares. I am also using a pen display and tried with just a mouse (In the video I was using a Mouse). I have also got custom shortcuts. I also tried a new Doc and an old Doc, and I restarted the PC and Photoshop. I hope someone can help!
