My text is not showing up.

Hello,

  I have a problem that occurs occasionally and it is really annoying. 

When I click to add text or type "T" the font does not show up at all. All I see is a point. 
but the layer window shows that there is dummy text present.

I have tried other fonts and font sized and still the same result...

I have attached two images of the actual error messages I am receiving when I:

• Try to make the text into a selection.
• Transform the text layer.

I have tried everything I can think of and searched google/youtube extensively but I 

can not find the solution.

I am not seeing the screenshots that I have attached to the original message if everyone else is having the same problem I will attempt to re-upload them.

Those error messages are normal if you add a text layer and click enter or "OK" without actually typing any text, then try to transform it.

If you are actually typing some text and it is not showing up, try resetting the text tool
