Question

Need a CS5 web permium serial number

I have my CS5 serial number but it is now unusable as the old computer was discarded after formatting hard disk and I was not aware of the need to unregister the adobe serial number from the device.

There seems no way to recover that. When I use my serial number it says number of devices exceeded and stops me from using the product.

I am really really angry with adobe for deliberalty forcing people to pay so much and upgrade software. I am an occassional user and have no need to fancy new photoshop on subscription which I cannot afford.

Is someone willing to give / sell me a license key for CS5 that will work if they do not need it? I have the CS5 installables.

Thanks

@rajesh_5250 I am sorry to inform you that another serial number for CS5 does not help you. The activation servers was shutdown several years ago.

The CS5 version was released in 2010.  The apps had normally a life-cycle of 3 to 5 years, sometime a little longer. But we have 2025, 15 years ago since the release.  CS5 isn't really compatible with newer hardware and operating system.

You were expected to upgrade to supported software, or take a chance and keep using unsupported CS5 at your own risk of failures and incompatibilities. That was your choice. Alos there's no more support from Acobe since several years.

The license you purchased was for the lifetime of the product and not forever and ever.

It's time to change to a subscription Adobe products: desktop, web, and mobile applications | Adobe

Or you have to take a look to alternative tools.

@rajesh_5250

Adobe does not reset activations. You need to have at least one of the two available to activate on another computer. See this page for details:

The activation servers have not (yet) been shut down for CS5, CS5.5, and CS6.

@jane-e Thank's for clarification. I think I read that the servers for CS5 were also shut down. But that doesn't seem to be the case.
