Need help with Paths

So I'm rather new to photoshop and have just been using it to create maps. But today I ran into a small problem; I'm trying to use the "stroke path" function to create walls around a selected area. Normally this is easy and it work, but now the wall seems a little offset. How do I fix it so that the wall has an even thickness?

I figured it out. The problem was, in my brush tool. I had selected shape dynamics by accident at some stage.
