As described in the title, the new Gradient Tool causes my the current version of Photoshop (and the previous version) to crash everytime I attempt to add a live gradient to a layer with a vector mask. If I rasterize the vector mask, the gradient works as expected.
So a workaround is possible but not ideal as I'd like to keep my editable vectors.
This happens with both PS and PS Beta:
