New to Photoshop - it won't open - error message about procedure entry point

Hello, I just installed the latest Photoshop and the beta, and upon trying to open either I get an error message that says:

Photoshop.exe - Entry Point Not Found -The procedure entry point SetThreadDescription could not be located in the dynamic link library - (more in the attached screenshot)

I've scoured the forums and the web and can't find a solution. I'm on Windows 10, i7 with 32GB and 80TB.

Would be grateful if anyone knows a solution. Thanks.

Best regards, Tony

Hi @tonyr77699257 did you install Photoshop on your main C: drive where your System folder and user profile is located?

Hi Kevin, I just checked and yes, all the Adobe products are installed in C:\Program Files\Adobe - I did notice during the installation procedures that it said that it was unable to update Creative Cloud.

Update your Creative Cloud, uninstall the failed install and try again.

Thanks, Kevin. Every time I try to update Creative Cloud, it stops at around 39% with an Error Code 501 (which apparently means that something else is open that needs to be closed, but it gives no info as to which needs to be closed). After closing everything, it still fails at the same point.
