New versions of PS are freezing my PC upon first open, for a 5-20 seconds

I have a similar but slightly different problem with this. As soon as Photoshop is turned on, a crash occurs within 5 to 10 seconds. (Not everytime, sometimes)

I already submitted a crash report, but I see this thread, so I write a comment like this. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens even if Photoshop is reinstalled, so it seems unstable inside Photoshop. 23.4 and 23.3.2 didn't have this problem.

• Your card is great; plenty of horsepower, and then some
• If you have GSync enabled, turn it off for Photoshop.
• Have you updated Adobe Camera RAW; we had some reports of launch issues that were addressed in the update from the last couple of days. I wouldn't be shocked if the GPU additions to both ACR and Photoshop resulted in a hiccup that would only appear in 23.

Cory except in this case, its photoshop, not my PC or drivers. Just last week i updated to the most recent video drivers.

I say this definitely because this ONLY happens on 23.+ versions of Photoshop. 

This does NOT happen on the 22.0 version i also have installed

A system hang or freeze requiring a computer restart usually means a low level failure such as a driver (bad video card driver, etc), failing hardware (hard disk, video card, etc.) or damaged OS installation. 
It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

You are right though, I guess I'm not on the latest version, but 23.3 instead. Basically i rolled back to 22.0 but didnt realize i still had the last version i was using as a desktop icon - and i open that sometimes

Photoshop freezing is an issue I've had for a while, on this 23.3 version and previous 23. versions. That's the main reason i rolled back to 22.0 in the first place

Hi @SimplTrix, sorry to hear this. You say you are on the recent version, but @Zaki McZader  is correct, 23.4.1 is the latest unless you have rolled back to 23.3.2 for another reason?  Could you share a video once you launch Ps to show the team what your are seeing?

The lastet Ps vesrion is 23.4.1. Did you try it and had the same issue with your PC ?
