Newest PS update visual duplication

My newest PS update as of 6/24/20 makes objects duplicate when i do anything to them....scaling, moving, etc. It was so bothersome, i had to switch back to the version before this one. The funny thing is that it didn't ACTUALLY duplicate it, it just showed it like that until i toggled the background layer on and off. Same goes for erasing a layer....it didn't show it until i toggled the layer on and off. it was super annoying. has this been addressed yet?

Not sure if this will helped you but it seems to have solved my problem with layers

When Legacy Compositing is enabled, layer content remains, or is visibly duplicated, after moving the layer or adjustments aren't visible at different zoom levels.

Workaround:

Open Preferences > Performance and uncheck Legacy Compositing.

By default, the Legacy Compositing option is off.

I don't have an answer, but I'm struggling with layers as well. Effects of layers (mode, opacity etc) aren't showing up if there is a flattened background layer underneath, even if nothing is flattened, sometimes they still don't show up without toggling. I work with layers a lot and this is frustrating. Having a whole lot of layer issues that I never did before. Shame because the new pattern rotation and what seems to be improved pattern scaling is amazing.
